Methodology

SnipeWork continuously scans public job posts through the official Upwork GraphQL API. Each ISO week (Mon–Sun, UTC) the scanned posts are aggregated into this report: budget averages use the midpoint of posted ranges; hourly outliers above $500/hr and zero budgets are excluded; category shares are computed over posts with a known category. The week in progress is recomputed daily and finalized on Sunday night — archived weeks never change, so they are safe to cite. Data is free to reference with a link to this page; a machine-readable feed lives at /api/market/index.
